Winter Wellness Yin, Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra
– Honouring the stillness of the season

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, we invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and sink into the warmth of community and calm.

Join us for a cosy Winter Wellness Evening — a gentle blend of Yin and Restorative Yoga, finishing with a deeply soothing Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to nurture body, mind, and spirit.

Together, we’ll soften the edges of the year, releasing tension and welcoming rest. Through stillness, mindful movement, and deep relaxation, you’ll find space to restore your energy and reconnect with your inner quiet — preparing to step gracefully into the winter season.

We’ll close the evening with light refreshments, and friendly conversation — a chance to share warmth, and leave with a peaceful glow.

A gentle evening of rest, renewal, and connection.
Everyone is warmly welcome — no experience needed, just bring yourself and an open heart.

Yin Yoga

What is Yin Yoga:
Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that targets the deeper layers of the body — the connective tissues, joints, and fascia. Postures are held for several minutes, inviting stillness and surrender as you soften into each shape. It’s a quiet, introspective practice that encourages patience, presence, and deep release.

Benefits:

  • Gently increases flexibility and mobility in the joints
  • Calms the nervous system and supports emotional balance
  • Encourages mindfulness and inner awareness
  • Promotes the free flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body
  • Creates a profound sense of peace and spaciousness within

Restorative Yoga

What is Restorative Yoga:
Restorative Yoga is the art of conscious rest — a soothing practice using props to fully support the body in gentle, comfortable postures. Each shape is held for several minutes, allowing the body to deeply relax while the mind unwinds. It’s a time to slow down and be nurtured.

Benefits:

  • Deeply relaxes the body and releases muscular tension
  • Reduces stress and anxiety, calming the mind
  • Restores energy levels and supports restful sleep
  • Balances the nervous system and aids recovery
  • Cultivates feelings of safety, comfort, and ease

Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep)

What is Yoga Nidra:
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation and relaxation practice often described as “yogic sleep.” You’ll rest comfortably while being gently led through stages of awareness, moving between wakefulness and deep rest — a space where healing, clarity, and renewal arise naturally.

Benefits:

  • Induces profound relaxation for body and mind
  • Supports better sleep and nervous system balance
  • Helps release accumulated stress and emotional tension
  • Enhances focus, creativity, and inner calm
  • Promotes overall wellbeing and a sense of wholeness
